Beauty Favorite: Tarte Maracuja Oil

Face oils can be a scary concept for many. Before I tried the Maracuja Oil by Tarte I thought anything that could remotely make my face “oily” should be banned from my medicine cabinet. However, after my skin started to loose it’s glow I knew I had to try something. Along comes Maracuja Oil by Tarte.

I happened upon this miracle oil after a good-‘ole internet search for skin brighteners. Not only were the reviews on this oil amazing, but the $16 travel sized bottle was worth the price to test out. Surprisingly after my first use I literally was hooked! A small amount will instantly plump your skin and add the perfect amount of glow. It absorbs into your skin beautifully and does not leave an oily residue like some oils. Also great for oily and acne prone skin, “the gentle multi-tacker helps calm excess sebum production on oily & acne-prone skin”, according to Tarte cosmetics.

The oil not only does wonders for your skin, but the travel sized bottle actually lasts me 2-3 months (it does come in two other larger sizes, but I normally stick to the travel size). I place a line of the oil up the length of my finger and dab it around my eyes, on the bridge of my nose, my smile lines, and my forehead. Basically anywhere I could use a bit of firmness and glow. It works wonders if you apply it to clean skin and then apply your morning and evening moisturizers right over the top of it to seal in the moisture. It also acts as the perfect lip primer and cuticle oil. Overall it is one of those “can’t live without” products!
